I will be on maternity leave from murals until August 2008. Being creative is something that comes very natural to me. My passion for art caused me to pursue a bachelor's degree in Illustration from San Jose State University. During the course of my studies, I developed a special affinity for creating wonderful characters and and whimsical designs. After years of producing and selling my own line of greeting cards, I switched to licensing my work to greeting card and publishing companies. Some of my clients include Portal Publications, Renaissance Greeting Cards and Design Design. Also, I began to expand my portfolio to include home murals. I try to create a unique design in each home I paint. I was recently featured in the Interiors section of the Sacramento Bee newspaper. See the article here. For my web site designs and Flash interactives, I have collaborated and created projects for the University of California, the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley, Oceans Foundation, California Dept. of Fish and Game (http://seaotterresearch.org), Stanford University (http://topp.org), Yahoo! (http://www.greatturtlerace.com), Google, as well as privately owned businesses and corporations. I am a Carnegie Fellow lecturer in the New Media program at the Graduate School of Journalism, UC Berkeley. I am working on a series of marine life websites for the Stanford Hopkins Marine Station in Monterey. If you are interested in licensing one of the available images, or would like to find out more about me and my work, email me or give me a call at 530-383-1260. |
